De zomerinterviews: Tom Naegels
Tom Naegels schreef de vorobije tien jaar columns over diversiteit en samenleven voor De Standaard, de krant waarvan hij ook ombudsman is. De multiculturele samenleving werkt bij ons al bij al vrij behoorlijk, zegt hij in dit laatste interview uit '20 jaar actie. 20 standpunten'. Conflicten, zelfs extreme standpunten vormen een inherent onderdeel van de samenlevingsdynamiek.
De zomerinterviews: Bambi Ceuppens
Bambi Ceuppens is doctor in de antropologie en verbonden aan het Koninklijk Museum voor Midden-Afrika in Tervuren. Het oordeel dat ze in '20 jaar actie. 20 standpunten' uitspreekt over twintig jaar diversiteits- en integratiebeleid in België is streng: we leven vandaag in een context van ‘superdiversiteit’, maar het debat over de omgang daarmee wordt niet ten gronde gevoerd, vindt ze.

Filosofe Alicja Gescinska was zeven toen haar ouders beslisten om Polen achter zich te laten. Als migrant van nul beginnen: Gescinska weet hoe het voelt. Maar vandaag is ze België vooral dankbaar.
De zomerinterviews: Evelyne Villagante
Evelyne Villagante migreerde in 1995 vanuit het Filipijnse binnenland naar België. Eerder toevallig kwam ze in contact met het Centrum, dat haar ondersteunde bij de regularisatieprocedure. Inmiddels heeft ze de Belgische nationaliteit en kon ze drie van haar kinderen naar hier halen. De hereniging met twee andere kinderen laat nog op zich wachten.
De zomerinterviews: Johan Leman
Johan Leman is emeritus professor antropologie en voorzitter van vzw Foyer in Brussel. Hij stond aan de wieg van het Centrum voor gelijkheid van kansen en voor racismebestrijding en was er van 1993 tot 2004 directeur. Het diversiteitsbeleid is zeker niet mislukt, stelt hij, maar door de onderwaardering van de terreinkennis die aanwezig is in het middenveld zorgen beleidsmakers ervoor dat er veel tijd en energie verloren gaat.
De zomerinterviews: Naïma Charkaoui
Naïma Charkaoui is sinds 2001 coördinator van het Minderhedenforum, een koepel van organisaties van etnischculturele minderheden. Als dochter van een Marokkaanse vader en een Vlaamse moeder, groeide op in West-Vlaanderen en studeerde aan de Universiteit van Gent, waar ze een diploma politieke en sociale wetenschappen behaalde.
