History

Unia's history dates back to 1993, when its predecessor, the Centre for Equal Opportunities and Opposition to Racism, was founded. Unia itself was founded in 2013. We have since evolved into the Interfederal Centre for Equal Opportunities and Opposition to Racism and Discrimination.

What does Unia do?

Promoting equality and inclusion

Prevention is better than cure. That’s why we offer organisations the online platform eDiv (only in French or Dutch) and customised guidance and training. We also promote greater inclusion and equality through local support and policy recommendations. 

Research

Unia is a knowledge and expertise centre. Our reports, tools and statistics are useful resources for researchers working on discrimination and diversity.
